Dr. Homayoun Aminyar originally graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. After graduating in 1996, he completed a year of postgraduate residency in General Practice Dentistry at King County Hospital Medical Center, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Most students focus on obtaining their own education, but Dr. Aminyar went above and beyond the usual. His performance was considered to be outstanding and he demonstrated an extraordinary ability to show students how to utilize knowledge to transform practice. As a result, soon after he completed his education, he was offered a teaching position as an attending dentist. He accepted the part-time teaching position instructing post-graduate dental residents in all aspects of dentistry. In addition to teaching at Downstate Medical Center, he also managed a successful private practice in Kew Gardens, New York. Although he enjoyed general dentistry,
Dr. Aminyar had always had an interest in orthodontics, and in 2005, he went back to school. He chose to enter a postgraduate residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in Maimonides Medical Center and completed the program in July 2008. An impressive scholar and a distinguished practitioner, Dr. Aminyar is highly qualified and skilled in providing children, adolescents and adults.
